We’ve pulled together some commonly asked questions about Creo and what we offer.

If you have additional questions that you can’t find the answer to below, please contact us.

Why should I do Creo?

If you’re stuck on any meaningful launch, growth or scale issues we can work with you to crash through them

This is a great, simple and low-time intensive way of expanding your skillset and being better at your leadership

We’d love to deepen, challenge and encourage your faith and help you connect you to how you shape and grow your venture. An integrated work, life and faith is a better way to live!

As an entrepreneur you probably feel on your own sometimes. As a Christian entrepreneur that sense is even more compounded! So why not join some people who know what you feel – this tribe of Christian entrepreneurs are here to cheer you on, pray for you and support you as you build your venture to scale.

What stage of venture should I be at?

The earliest is Idea Stage, with an intent to get started in the next year. We would discourage those people who just want to learn through a course, we’re focused on helping you be a better leader and build a better venture.

For our Accelerator Programme, you should be looking for help with propelling you to the next stage quickly and tackling live issues together with us.

For our Lab, you should be looking for a longer period of involvement with us (9 months) and either going Idea to Launch or if you are an existing venture, looking to make space for any or all of Growth, Redesign and Scale.

We’re flexible on how big you can be for either programme, but our normal guidelines are up to £2m of revenue and up to 10 staff at the top end of the spectrum.

When’s the next programme I can join?

Our Lab works on a rolling intake so get in touch as soon as you are ready to apply. Our Accelerators run on a regular basis and we are taking applications now! Please contact us for the next exact start date.

What's your application criteria?

You should be able and willing to sign up to the Apostles’ Creed:

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.

You should have an existing venture established, or have genuine plans to launch one within the next 12 months. This can be any type of legal structure.

You should be able to commit 2-3 hours per week for the duration of the programme

You should be able to pay, or fundraise, the required course fees

You need the ability to access digital content (email, internet files, video calls)

Where do I need to be located?

We’re based out of the UK, but some of our content contributors and a few great members of our team are based in the US. We have great relationships with our US partners and feel their voices add a lot to the programme. We’re based in Edinburgh, Scotland, with a global outlook.

We take ventures onto our programmes from anywhere in the world. We also are developing city based cohorts around the world, church based cohorts around the world and partnerships with organisations and denominations around the world.

Our programme is predominantly delivered digitally which gives you three benefits – you get access to global experts in the content, you can engage with the programme around your busy life in your current location, and it makes it more accessible for disadvantaged communities that may find it hard to access a typical accelerator structure.

Who do you work with?

We’ve helped entrepreneurs in seven countries: Scotland, England, Sweden, the US, Canada, India, and South Africa.

We’ve helped businesses in 16 sectors: Refugees, Architects, Sports, Housing, Drug Addiction, Church, Media, Education, Retail, Co-working, Communities, Coffee, Publishing, Vocational Training, Film, and Social Care.

Whether your structure is business, social enterprises, charities, or pre-incorporation, we can help!

Do you only work with social entrepreneurs?

Actually – no! We love working with businesses, social enterprises or not-for-profit models to build amazing ventures. We’d encourage all entrepreneurs to think and develop a care for others, particularly those with least, through their ventures.

We think of this broadly. We like the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, but social impact to us is about making things more like they should be in society; offering a hint of the kingdom. Redemptive entrepreneurship is another phrase that works. We have a particular bias to ventures that help those left behind by societal trends, whether in the UK or globally.

Have a look at our alumni page to see the breadth of the organisations we have worked with.

How much is the programme?

The 9-week Accelerator costs £750. The 9-month Lab is £2,500.

How long is the programme?

Our Accelerator is a 9-week intensive programme, requiring 2-3 hours a week of commitment. Our Lab is an 9-month programme, requiring around 2-3 hours a week of commitment.

Why do you need a faith based accelerator, isn’t any sort of business or social impact accelerator sufficient?

We believe that our faith should drive people to being entrepreneurs – both through the call to create and cultivate, but also through the call to love your neighbour, especially those with the least. We think that building a community of entrepreneurs who are Christians can help people flourish and connect their faith and work, rather than separate them.

What does Creo mean?

To create, or to grow. Both seem to be very good meanings for this work!
